Work Package - 5:
Socio-economic studies of the case study beaches

WP-5. The flood-induced economic vulnerability of the case study beaches will be assessed. With regard to the economic impacts, there will be an evaluation of the present coastal capital and activities at risk (e.g. Callaway 2004) and their sustainability (Watkiss, 2008) under different mean sea level rise and storm surge/wave-induced coastal inundation scenaria; to this end, the predictions based on the results of the WP-2 and WP-3 will be utilised.
